<\/a>Arriving on the ferry to Moreton Island<\/p><\/div>\n

Once on land, our first adventure was snorkeling the islands 15 ship wrecks, called the Tangalooma Wrecks.\u00c2\u00a0 These vessels were deliberately sunk on the landward side of Moreton Island to form a breakwall for small boats and now have become a great spot for snorkeling.\u00c2\u00a0 Although there was not a lot of coral, there were lots of fish and the wrecks were pretty cool to swim around.\u00c2\u00a0 We also saw a wollongong shark lurking in one of the wrecks.<\/p>\n

After having lunch on the beach we set off in our 4WD vehicle for some off-roading into the gum tree forests of the National Park.<\/p>\n

The next stop was the Desert for some sandboarding action. The Deserts dunes can reach about 30 meters high and you can get up to about 60kph on the way down.\u00c2\u00a0 After some quick instructions were were off sliding down the dune.<\/p>\n
