We spent the first week back in Melbourne readjusting to the winter cold and time change.\u00c2\u00a0 So when the weekend came around we were ready to have some fun.\u00c2\u00a0 We started the weekend with some good yum cha (or what we would call dim sum) in Chinatown.<\/p>\n

After dim sum, we walked over to Federation Square to see the Tim Burton exhibit at the Australia Center for the Moving Image.\u00c2\u00a0 Federation Square is the festival\/tourist center of Melbourne.\u00c2\u00a0 The iconic buildings are a focal point in the city and people either love them or hate them.\u00c2\u00a0 We have visited the square on a number of occasions including outdoor movie nights, festivals, and to visiting the museums.<\/p>\n

I don’t have any photos of the actual exhibit since they wouldn’t allow photography, but they had tons of Tim Burton’s sketches as well as some props from his movies.\u00c2\u00a0 They even had to Batmobile on display.<\/p>\n

To end the weekend (really it was Monday night) we had an eight course tasting menu at the well known, Press Club.\u00c2\u00a0 The Press Club is MasterChef Australia<\/a> judge, George Calombari’s flagship restaurant.\u00c2\u00a0 And since we have been totally addicted to the TV show we have been very excited about eating at the restaurant.<\/p>\n

Since we were enjoying our food so much, this is the only picture I took<\/p><\/div>\n

So when we got there were were very surprise and excited to see George\u00c2\u00a0 in the entryway. \u00c2\u00a0 I’m not sure if seeing George or tasting his flagship desert, Aphrodite (white chocolate mousse with berries, candy rose petals, and dark chocolate “soil”) was the highlight of the evening.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
