After a delayed flight from Austin we arrived in Paris in the early afternoon and checked into our cute little apartment on Rue Montorgueil\u00c2\u00a0in the 2nd arrondissement. \u00c2\u00a0The location was perfect, located close to lots of\u00c2\u00a0restaurants, cafes, fromagerie, vegetable stands, and a couple of boulangeries. \u00c2\u00a0It was also close to all of the tourist attractions.<\/p>\n

The first thing we did after settling in was to take a walk to the\u00c2\u00a0Seine\u00c2\u00a0River and visit Notre-Dame before getting cleaned up for a great 3-course dinner at a nearby\u00c2\u00a0restaurant.<\/p>\n

After a good nights sleep we hit the shops on the\u00c2\u00a0Avenue des\u00c2\u00a0Champs-\u00c3\u2030lys\u00c3\u00a9es and I happened to wander in to the Laduree shop to have a taste of our first French macaron. \u00c2\u00a0YUM!<\/p>\n

Later in the afternoon we did a guided walking tour with a Paris Greeter. \u00c2\u00a0These are Paris locals who volunteer to show you their favorite parts of the city. \u00c2\u00a0We had a great time wandering around the Marais\u00c2\u00a0neighborhood\u00c2\u00a0and along the river.<\/p>\n

Day three we dedicated to the Left Bank (south of the River Seine). \u00c2\u00a0We did a self-guided walking tour of the Latin Quarter and Luxembourg\u00c2\u00a0Gardens. \u00c2\u00a0Then made our way to the Eiffel Tower.<\/p>\n

On our fourth and last day in Paris we spent the morning enjoying breakfast on Rue Montorgueil. \u00c2\u00a0Then prepared some things for\u00c2\u00a0a picnic in Montmartre and\u00c2\u00a0Sacr\u00c3\u00a9-Coeur.<\/p>\n

Four days was definitely\u00c2\u00a0not enough time to see Paris, but we enjoyed ourselves even if our feet are really tired from all the walking around.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
