Our first stop outside of Paris was to Claude Monet’s house and garden located in the town of Giverny, west of Paris.<\/p>\n

Monet bought the house in 1883 and designed the gardens himself. \u00c2\u00a0There are two parts to the gardens, the Clos Normand and the water garden. \u00c2\u00a0 The Clos Normand are the flowerbeds that surround the house with amazing brightly colored flowers.<\/p>\n

The second part of the garden was the water garden. \u00c2\u00a0Monet bought a piece of land next to his property to create this pond and water garden. \u00c2\u00a0He obviously spent many hours working on the garden and painting it.<\/p>\n
