We made it to Boston on Monday evening after a long drive from Buffalo. We stayed the night in a hostel in the Back Bay area which is near Fenway Park. After settling in to our room and meeting a couple of our roommates we headed out to a Italian restaurant we found on Yelp. We knew that North End was supposed to be “the place” to go for Italian, but we went for it anyways. We were definitely not disappointed. The dinner was fantastic and we ended with cappuccinos.<\/p>\n

After the dinner we tried out a great beer bar Bukowski’s. We had a couple great beers before walking home to our hostel.<\/p>\n

The following day did a Duck tour. It was pretty fun even if it was kinda cheesy.\u00c2\u00a0 After the tour we made it over to The Legal Test Kitchen for lunch, which is as it sounds the test kitchen for Legal Seafood. It was pretty tasty and seemed less expensive than the real deal.

The next day we got up and started on the Freedom Trail. We got to check out lots of cool American history including the great patriot and BREWER Sam Adams! How bout that for some great history! No wonder we won the Revolution, we had the good beer.<\/p>\n

Along the way we made a few stops for food to refuel. We got Lobster Rolls in Quincy Market, pizza at Regina’s and an amazing cannoli from Modern Pastry.<\/p>\n

Thanks to everyone who gave us recommendations. They were all great.<\/p>\n

We came back to the North End in the evening for dinner after grabbing a drink at the Black Rose. We met a few nice guys there one who was on vacation from Wisconsin visiting a couple local friends. After dinner we decided we needed to go back to Modern Pastry for some dessert. This time we got a “Lobster Tail” based on the recommendation of the guys at the table next to us. It was good, but huge, that and our cappuccino was the perfect end to the day.<\/p>\n

Thursday morning we finished our Freedom Trail by going to the USS Constitution which was closed on Wednesday. It was a pretty cool ship and has some great history just like the rest of the sites on the Freedom Trail.<\/p>\n
