Afterward we went up to check out the Red Rock Amphitheater which is just outside Golden. It would be a really awesome place to see a concert.<\/p>\n

The next day after a great breakfast that Tony and Emma cooked us, we went out for some more brewery tours. First we went up to Boulder and checked out Avery. This place was fun and had board games to play while you drink.<\/p>\n

We tried a couple others in the day including a Meadery.<\/p>\n

Later that night back in Denver we went to a concert where one of David’s friends bands was playing. The concert was very eclectic and had everything from folk music to as David put it, “Face Melting Metal”.<\/p>\n

The next day we went to the Zoo in the evening where they have decorated the entire zoo in lights for Christmas. We also got to take our picture with Santa!<\/p>\n

Monday as we left Denver, Courtney and I, went to Pikes Peak.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately the winds were high and with snow at the peak there was chances of white outs at the top so they only let us go up 15 miles of the 19 mile highway to the summit. It was still a spectacular view and was also tremendously cold. The summit was supposed to be 4 degrees\u00c2\u00a0 and -20 with wind chill. It was painfully cold where we stopped so we didn’t stay long.<\/p>\n

On the way back down we met a new little friend who walked in front of us on the highway then when we stopped to take a picture, he stopped too. He stared at us until we drove off.<\/p>\n
