We’re not in Kansas anymore
Posted: December 11th, 2009 by Scott
The second day in Kansas City in the afternoon the drizzle started. Later that night it chilled down enough for us to get our second snow of the trip. We got about 1-2 inches in the parking lot but luckily by the morning the streets were cleared enough to get out of town.
We started our trek across Kansas. Turns out Kansas is flat… very very flat. And very unexciting. This is what we were looking at for two days worth of driving.
We did get to check out the World’s Largest Picaso painting in Goodland. There really isn’t any other reason to go to Goodland from what we could gather.
We were very excited to get to Colorado and finally see some mountains to break up the view. Oh yeah and Denver is considerably warmer! I think it was 17 degrees when we got to Denver which was much better than the 4 degrees we hit in Colby, Kansas.
