Immunizations

We went in to the Long Beach Travel Clinic to get our travel immunizations on

Friday afternoon. Since we are planning on visiting Fiji, Australia, Southeast Asia, and South America, here are some of the immunizations that were recommended by our nurse:
- Yellow Fever – Common in parts of South America and Africa
- Typhoid – Recommended for Fiji and parts of South America
- Polio Booster – Recommended for India
- Japanese Encephalitis – Recommended for Southeast Asia (because of the cost and because it only lasts for a year we decided to wait to get this one)
- Hepatitis A – Luckily we got this when we traveled to Thailand
- Hepatitis B – We both got this as a prerequisite for college
- And all of the regularly recommended vaccines for adults (we both had to get our tetanus shot)
Other than a little arm soreness we are both feeling pretty good for having been jabbed three times each.
