Moving On Up

Thursday was both of our last days at work. I was able to say goodbye to many coworkers who I’ve known for over 5 years, it was bitter sweet as you can imagine. I had to get a photo of the cubicle I’ve called home for the last couple years.

Friday we cleaned out the apartment, packed up the Jeep and got out of town. Well we tried to get out of town. We ended up leaving right during the peak of Friday traffic going through LA. It ended up taking us about 2 hours to get across town to the Grapevine. The rest of the drive was relatively void of issues. We ended up arriving in Lodi, where we will call home for the next two weeks, around 1130pm.

On the drive up Courtney and I enjoyed our new Kindle which we received as a wedding gift a couple weeks ago. The Kindle is not backlit like a computer screen so when it gets dark out you need to use your own reading light. In the car we improvised and used our trusty headlamp.
Great for reading while spelunking too!

We are glad to see you are starting to master the art of self portraits. Tree branches, random railings and rocks make great tripods in a crunch. See you Friday kids!
