Quick Stop in Richmond
Posted: November 16th, 2009 by Courtney
After Baltimore, we headed south to Richmond, Virginia.  Richmond is rich is Civil War history. We stopped at the Richmond National Battlefield Park to learn more about Richmond’s history in the war, went to the Museum of the Confederacy and White House where Confederate President Jefferson Davis and his family lived during the war, and to the Maggie L. Walker Historic Site in the historic Jackson Ward neighborhood.
After all that history we were pretty hungry, so we stopped at the Village Cafe for one giant calzone.
Now its on to North Carolina and some sun!
